Chelsea fans have been slamming Alvaro Morata after the Atletico Madrid striker commented on his time with the Blues.

The 27 year-old said that his time at the club left him 'the opposite of happy' and that he suffered as a result of being left out of Spain's squad for the 2018 World Cup (Jugones via AS)

After a promising start to life in west London, which saw him contribute 13 goals in his first 15 Premier League games, the Spain international tailed off and endured a nightmare time with the side (via Transfermarkt).

He went on to score just seven goals in the top-flight before departing for Atletico Madrid in January 2018.

His move to Chelsea only came about after a proposed transfer to Manchester United fell through, with the player even dying his hair red to celebrate, according to Marca (via Joe).

It seems there is no love lost between the Chelsea fans and Morata as they took to Twitter to slam the striker for his comments.
