Chelsea: Fans slam transfer target Ben Chilwell’s performance vs Man City
Lots of Chelsea fans are saying the same thing about Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell after Saturday’s action, as the Foxes star was tortured by Riyad Mahrez at the Etihad.
Manchester City reminded everyone that they are still alive and kicking in the title race on Saturday evening, sweeping Leicester aside in a 3-1 win.
Jamie Vardy actually gave Brendan Rodgers’ side a first-half lead at the Etihad, but goals from Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus wrapped up three points for the hosts.
Chilwell, who has been heavily linked with Chelsea and valued at £60m minimum, was particularly poor for the visitors, as his former teammate made life extremely difficult for him.
Per Whoscored, Mahrez was the man of the match with a 9.06 out of 10 rating, registering ten shots, four key passes and three dribbles.
Many Blues fans slammed their fellow supporters for suggesting Chilwell would be an upgrade on Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…
