Chelsea: Fans slam Willian for ‘useless’ performance in Valencia draw
Chelsea may have been denied victory late on against Valencia – but after Willian was taken off after 80 minutes, he has been criticised for his poor performance.
Sky Sports rated him 6/10 for game and said he “lacked his usual cutting edge”, while Football.london agreed judging it was “not his best day”, particularly due to his missed chance in the first two minutes and his “sloppy” play which led to a Valencia penalty. Aside from this game though, he’s had a solid start to the season, with him scoring two and assisting three in nine Premier League starts.
It seems quite a few fans had forgotten about that though, with many solely focusing on his performance yesterday to make criticisms on Twitter. Chelsea fan Alex Goldberg posted his thoughts about the whole team on Twitter and labelled Willian’s performance as simply “bad”, and fans seemed to agree.
