Jorginho has gone through an indifferent 12 months in London since his move to Chelsea, yet now that a year has passed since his signing last summer (BBC), some Blues have been quick to shower their midfield man in praise.

The £50m Italian came under fire from his own fans for some of his performances last season, forcing the player himself to come out and face the media, which he did in an interview with ESPN in March where he claimed that he could change the fans’ minds.
New boss Frank Lampard (via the Daily Star) did hint he was keen to move teammate N’Golo Kante back into a defensive midfield position after taking a charge, a change originally put in place by former boss Maurizio Sarri and one that attracted criticism from Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport.
Still, the Italy international did average the most passes per game than any Chelsea player in the Premier League last season so was clearly influential in their system, impressing the fans below despite some of the aforementioned criticism.

And he’s the most under-appreciated and misunderstood player to have ever existed!
