Chelsea fans take to Twitter to support Sarri’s reported departure from the club - Chelsea

Some Chelsea fans are delighted with the reported departure of Maurizio Sarri from the club.

Maurizio Sarri hasn’t really made the impact fans would’ve wanted him to make at Chelsea. Sure, the football has changed a bit but the end results were pretty similar to those of Antonio Conte who came before him and who was ultimately “booed” out the club. However, if the reports from Daily Mail are to be believed, Sarri has already agreed to fill the vacant managerial spot at Juventus, and fans were quick to show their support of that big decision on social media.

Maurizio Sarri still has two years left on his £5m-a-season Chelsea contract but seeing how he is not really the most popular figure at Stamford Bridge and with Juventus apparently willing to offer him a substantial pay rise, his days in the rainy London might be coming to a close.

Whether that materialises or not remains to be seen but many of the Blues’ fans seem to think that decision would indeed be the right one for the Italian manager. The novelties he has implemented were not enough to push Chelsea back to the top and despite a possible Europa League trophy looming at the end of the season, some of those fans want another change at the helm of the team.
