Chelsea: Fans want Frank Lampard to teach players how to take rocket free-kicks

Chelsea fans may have been forgiven for thinking Frank Lampard could not enhance his legacy further after becoming manager, but with his side third, above champions Man City, he could do just that. It’s well-documented just how incredible he was as a player, and the fans will never forget that, whatever happens during his time as boss.
He’s the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 211 goals to his name from 648 appearances. He made 150 assists in that time too, winning three Premier League titles, a Champions League and four FA Cups. It’s a glittering career that Chelsea’s Twitter account celebrate often, particularly now he’s the manager.
They posted a video of his free-kick against Fulham 15 years ago that rocketed into the right of the goal without giving the ‘keeper a chance to even try and save it. Fans showered their manager with compliments in the replies, and some claimed the current crop of players could learn a thing or two.

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:
Need to teach these new lots how to take a decent free kick. Not expecting a goal everytime but at least make the keeper work a bit. Stop sending them over the bar.

The best! Super Frankie. I wish this art of freekicks is passed to the current crop of players. Too many chances near the box are going to waste. However, there is great progress and spirit in the team.

We could do with someone like Frank in the current squad

He should be teaching the bouys same. We’re poor at set pieces n corners this season. We get too many that we don’t make good use of
