Chelsea fans will surely adore latest Conte transfer decision

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern growing increasingly frustrated at their lack of activity thus far, despite their wonderful Premier League showings in the champagne campaign just past.

Indeed, with Champions League football back on the agenda in west London, the Blues in the bar are desperate to see Antonio Conte backed to make moves in the market this summer.

Still, while reports from the Daily Express are not so much to do with a potential player arrival, they’ve gone down a storm amongst our drinkers from SW6 today.

They claim the Italian coach has opted to KEEP midfielder Cesc Fabregas at the club this summer as he looks to whip the squad into shape for Champions League football next term.

The Spaniard operated largely on the periphery of the first-team last season and had been touted for a potential exit, though Conte is believed to want the World Cup winner in his squad.

While a number of clubs had been said to be keen, the 29-year-old himself is now reportedly eager to stay at Stamford Bridge for a fourth season.

Having largely made an impact when brought off the bench last season, the punters propping up our bar are delighted about the fact Cesc looks like remaining with Chelsea.
