Chelsea flop ready to shockingly extend stay at Stamford Bridge, has future under Conte

Pato

Our Chelsea supporting punters have had to an endure a truly bizarre season by their standards, drinking on while watching their side capitulate since their coronation last May.

It’s about to get weirder.

Somehow, Alexandre Pato has reportedly done enough to earn himself a stay at Stamford Bridge, despite being made to wait 64 days until his debut.

Having arrived on loan from Corinthians over the course of the January transfer window, the Brazilian did not appear for almost two months before coming off the bench and scoring against Aston Villa in March.

Despite all their problems on the pitch, the 26-year old has not been frequently afforded a starting berth under Guus Hiddink.

However, Sky Sports suggest their sources expect the Selecao samba star to remain at Stamford Bridge, who are set to welcome Antonio Conte as their new manager.

There are doubts about the long-term future of Diego Costa, while Colombian marksman Radamel Falcao has wholly failed to convince during his two years in the Premier League.

Happy with the thought of Pato sticking around, Chelsea fans?
