Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left mulling over a potential exit from the club this month, with reports suggesting another loan deal is imminent.
ESPN Brazil report Flamengo have held initial talks with Chelsea about a loan deal for winger Kenedy, who has returned to Stamford Bridge after an unsuccessful stint with fellow Premier League outfit Watford.
Kenedy made just one appearance off the bench for the Hornets, having made 20 senior appearances last season for the Blues, and another loan is likely in the second-half of the season to help the 20-year-old with his development.
However, Flamengo may have to wait to complete a deal as Antonio Conte wants to assess the youngster before approving another deal – with their being the chance that Kenedy could become an asset for Chelsea in the second-half of the season.
If Flamengo do succeed with a move, our landlord believes they will negotiate a deal that lasts until the end of the calendar year as that coincides with the Brazilian football season – but Chelsea may dig their heels in.
The Chelsea punters over by the jukebox here in the Tavern think that Kenedy definitely has a bright future at the club, with them all agreeing they’ve been impressed with him when he’s played for the Blues.
Could Kenedy be utilised by the first-team at Chelsea this season? Let us know in the comments below!
