Chelsea hold the key to Man United’s £100m Pogba deal

Paul Pogba’s potential world-record move to Manchester United has already had knock-on effects elsewhere in the transfer market, with Arsenal seemingly missing out on Juventus bound Gonzalo Higuain.

A deal of that magnitude is always likely to create a domino effect in the market, with Juventus soon to be flush with cash following the Frenchman’s sale.

With that in mind, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their summers interrupted by that seismic switch, though such news has come to their delight.

According to the Daily Mail, the Serie A champions have lined up a move for Blues midfield lynchpin Nemanja Matic as a replacement for the 23-year old.

The Serbian, stoic during his return to Stamford Bridge initially, endured a miserable season last term and could see playing time limited under Antonio Conte after the arrival of N’Golo Kante.

With that in mind, the 27-year old could leave the Blues for a second time in a huge move to Turin.
