Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are excitedly discussing the potential arrival of a young talent, with the links getting everybody in the bar talking.
The Brazilian version of Yahoo states that Chelsea scouts were in attendance at Brazil’s most prestigious U20 tournament and were impressed with the talents of Pedro Ruiz, better known in South America as Pedrinho.
The 18-year-old’s impressive performances helped fire Corinthians into today’s final and Chelsea’s representatives have opened talks with the teenager, as they’re keen to land one of the finest prospects within South America.
Chelsea already have strong links with Brazil as they boast Willian and David Luiz in their side, whilst Oscar and Ramires have both represented the West London giants in recent years.
Whilst Pedrinho would have a lot of work to do before following their path into the first-team, he’s definitely capable of achieving it.
Our landlord isn’t convinced a deal would be able to be completed though due to work permit regulations, but he’s always keen to see the best young talent make their name in English football.
Chelsea fans, should your club push all-out to land this attacking starlet? Let us know in the comments below!
