Life’s pretty good for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern right now, who are oh so delighted about the fact their beloved Blues once again sit proudly at the summit of English football.
Though this season has had its rocky moments, Antonio Conte has seemingly revolutionised the players who outwardly appeared to down tools last term into a title winning outfit once more, without really doing much work on the transfer front since his arrival last summer.
While the Tavern was wild throughout January as rumours and reports surfaced everywhere, Stamford Bridge legend Kerry Dixon has spoken in favour of the relative inactivity over the course of the New Year sales in SW6. Dixon, who spent nine years in west London, making 305 appearances, believes the squad is strong enough as it is.
As if the Chelsea fans propping up the bar needed any more reason to cheer Dixon’s name as they frequent in their droves, his comments on the transfer market have been celebrated even further.
