Little has been understated about Chelsea since their takeover in 2003, with Antonio Conte’s arrival in West London hyped no end.
Though the Italian is currently doing his best to march the Azzurri into European Championship glory, he continues to be linked with a number of big names to add to his burgeoning Blues ranks.
Still, it appears the 46-year old tactician is making one of his first moves a rather shock name.
According to the Daily Mail, the West Londoners are in talks with AC Milan ‘stopper Diego Lopez over the prospect of bringing him to England over the course of the summer.
Asmir Begovic, who only joined the club last term, has been linked with a big move to Everton after spending much of his first campaign with the club as the substitute ‘stopper.
With that in mind, there are reportedly attempts to lure the former Real Madrid man to Stamford Bridge, with the Spaniard having fallen down the pecking order at the San Siro.
Would Lopez be a good replacement for Begovic?
