Chelsea patrons in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with news two of their favourite players could be prolonging their stays at Stamford Bridge.
According to an exclusive from talkSPORT, Real Madrid transfer target Eden Hazard – who has been the main driving force behind Chelsea’s march to the top of the Premier League table – is set to sign a new contract in west London, whilst ‘Captain, Leader, Legend’ John Terry will also be offered a one-year deal.
Terry’s not had the same impact on Chelsea’s results as his team-mate this season; his last Premier League start came in a 2-2 draw with Swansea City in September, before Antonio Conte introduced the 3-4-3 system that has transformed the Blues’ season.
But talkSPORT claim he’s set to be offered the chance to take his Chelsea career into a staggering 20th season, although his role is likely to be minimal once again next term.
Hazard, meanwhile, is expected to end speculation over his future by signing a new contract during the summer – ending any chance of a potential world-record move to the Bernabeu. It’s added that the Belgium international is happy in London and has no plans to push for a move.
