It’s amazing to think that just a few weeks ago, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern really had no hopes for this season following losses to both Liverpool and Arsenal.
Manager Antonio Conte seemed to be under big pressure at the club and their squad looked like turning in a similar performance to last year’s nightmare campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Fast forward a month or two and the Blues sit proudly atop the Premier League, giving our west London locals all the optimism in the world.
Well, such is the nature of their sensational turnaround, perhaps they aren’t the only ones to feel that way.
That’s because, according to the Daily Telegraph, skipper John Terry is ready to block any lucrative discussions with interested parties and solely focus on trying to secure one last title with his boyhood charges.
Out of contract in the summer, the Blues skipper is free to talk to foreign parties in the New Year and has found it difficult to get much in the way of game time recently.
