Chelsea man keen on leaving and impressive teammate could follow this summer

With the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern still wholly expecting to see Antonio Conte deliver a Premier League title at the end of the campaign, they’re in good spirits.

Though the Blues have slumped somewhat in recent weeks, their win over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-final lifted the mood and reports from the Daily Mirror have put further smiles on the faces of our west London locals.

They claim the Stamford Bridge giants could be met with a £25m double bid for Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic this summer, representing big money for two players not involved in first-team proceedings too much.

While Ake impressed at Wembley, as well as during his loan spell with the Cherries during the first half of the season, Begovic is way behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order.

Those on the south coast are said to be confident of sealing a double deal, with Begovic thought to be eager to leave SW6 due to his lack of first-team football.

Though the Chelsea supporters propping up the bar in the Tavern would prefer to keep Ake, the notion of receiving £25m for the duo is exciting, as long as the club plunder that money back into signing replacements.
