Following the news John Terry will be offered a new deal by Chelsea, some of those in the Transfer Tavern this evening have let Blues fans off the hook for having smug looks on their faces.
Some have not, however. And they’ve be laughing at reports from the Metro the West London club could be set to miss out on Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
The tenacious Belgian midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to West London for a number of months now and is thought to be a major target of incoming boss Antonio Conte.
Conte will know his talents, having viewed him at close quarters while in charge of Juventus for a number of seasons.
However, the 28-year old has appeared to quell reports linking him with Stamford Bridge and has insisted he is happy playing in the Italian capital.
With quotes sourced by the Metro, the Belgium star looks to have dispelled any notions he could be set for a mega money this summer.
‘I will stay. I’m not moving from here. I’m happy in Rome, I don’t want to leave.’
How big a blow could this prove to be for Chelsea?
