Chelsea must raid Real Madrid for £10.8m-rated outcast to potentially replace David Luiz

The Chelsea fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see their side perform better next campaign after failing to reach the top four, just a season after winning the Premier League.

A lot of transfer rumours are already starting to circulate around Stamford Bridge but at the moment it seems more may leave than join. David Luiz is a player linked with a move away from the club but as much as Chelsea need to re-build, they need to firstly focus on securing some top players who will improve their team. Indeed, should Luiz leave the club, our punters would like to see Jesus Vallejo come in in his place.

The Real Madrid centre-back who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt has only managed 12 appearances for Los Blancos this season but his form out on loan in Germany suggests he is very capable and could do a sterling job for Chelsea. Playing 27 games for Frankfurt, Madrid saw his potential and decided to utilise him as much as they could this season. However, due to injuries, his run in the team was prohibited and maybe shows that he isn’t going to get adequate playing time for the Spanish giants.

Chelsea, although they could lose David Luiz, would find a top replacement in Vallejo. The 21-year-old is young but still has a range of experience which suggests he could be capable of performing well in the Premier League. The Spaniard is quick and can easily recover should any mistakes occur and following their troubled defence this season, Chelsea could benefit from that.
