Chelsea need to win the Europa League and a move for £4.5m-rated lynchpin would help

The Chelsea fans in and around the Transfer Tavern were overjoyed to claim a trophy at the end of the season but that really does paper over what has been a really poor season for the Blues.

Chelsea did all they could to win the final and they did but it’s blatantly obvious that this summer is a huge opportunity for the Blues to show their real power and get back to their winning ways because an FA Cup certainly isn’t a priority. Indeed, they would much rather win the more illustrious Premier League or Champions League trophy. With that in mind, a young up and coming talent who could bring success to Stamford Bridge in the long-term is RB Salzburg star Amadou Haidara, who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt.

Chelsea have struggled to find a suitable partner for N’Golo Kante this season as the signings of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley have all failed to justify their substantial price-tags. On the other hand, Mali international Haidara has endured the season of his life, scoring 8 times as well as assisting his team-mates on 10 occasions from the heart of midfield.

The 20-year-old is a bundle of energy, pace and power which combine together to make a top performer as he has done amazingly well for RB Salzburg this season. The young central-midfielder only moved to the Austrian side last summer but already his chance could come at a team like Chelsea in the top flight of English football. He is already accustomed to the Europa League, where Chelsea will also be playing next season so this move is not only good for now but amazing for the future success of the club.
