Chelsea have already strengthened their squad significantly this summer, signing no fewer than three players.

The Blues have welcomed midfielder Dario Essugo, who agreed to a switch from Sporting Lisbon earlier in the year, and young defender Mamadou Sarr from sister club RC Strasbourg to Stamford Bridge.

Their standout signing, however, has been Liam Delap, who completed a £30 million move to West London from relegated Ipswich Town.

Despite Delap’s arrival, it seems the club still needs further offensive reinforcements. Christopher Nkunku is expected to leave after a difficult couple of years, while the future of Nicolas Jackson is also now in question.

Napoli and AC Milan, who tried to sign Jackson before he arrived at Chelsea, are reportedly interested, along with several clubs from the Saudi Pro League.

If Jackson does leave, Chelsea will need to replace him, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and Strasbourg’s Emanuel Emegha being touted as potential targets.

According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani is Chelsea’s top striker target.

The French publication, via Metro, claims the Blues have “entered into negotiations” with PSG to sign Kolo Muani.

PSG paid a £76 million fee to sign Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt a couple of seasons ago, but his time in France has been far from fruitful. In 54 appearances for the club, he has managed just 11 goals.

However, he has come into his own since joining Juventus on loan in January 2025, scoring 10 goals in the second half of the campaign for the Old Lady.

Juventus are keen to keep him permanently, with midfielder and France teammate Khephren Thuram among those praising his impact.

“He is one of the world’s best strikers. He’s fast, scores goals and works hard for the team,” Thuram recently said of the PSG loanee.

Kolo Muani has also expressed his own desire to remain with Juventus.

“Honestly, I feel very good here. I can play well and score goals. I am happy, I hope to stay,” he said after finding the net in Juve’s 5-0 win over Al Ain at the Club World Cup.

If the Italian club, however, who are facing significant financial difficulties, cannot afford Kolo Muani, it could pave the way for the striker to make a sensational switch to the Premier League.
