Chelsea plan to approve exit for big-name this summer to kickstart career

Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing what sort of business they need to complete this summer, in order to stand as a competitive side in the Champions League next season.

The Blues need to significantly improve their squad depth as they seek to challenge on all fronts next season and amidst the flurry of potentially big recruits, a number of established names could be shown the exit door.

The Daily Mirror reports that French defender Kurt Zouma could be one of the names on the way out, as Chelsea prepare to send the 22-year-old out on-loan following his recent injury troubles.

Zouma has started just two Premier League games under Antonio Conte this season having spent the majority of the past year on the sidelines, following an injury sustained in February 2016 that halted Zouma’s rise into the first-team frame.

Chelsea still deem Zouma to be a key-part of their future but believe experience on-loan, likely at a fellow Premier League side, could be vital to his development.

Our landlord agrees that this is a good move for Zouma, especially with Nathan Ake pushing for opportunities and Andreas Christensen set to return from a successful stint with Borussia Monchengladbach.
