Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have started to get concerned with the club’s dip in form as of late and are demanding major improvements are made this summer.
Whilst Chelsea’s side has excelled in the Premier League this campaign, there’s question marks as to whether Antonio Conte’s outfit can compete across all fronts next season when they return to the Champions League.
Fortunately, it seems the club are ready to bolster their options ahead of the new season and Spanish outlet Diario Gol states a major breakthrough has already been reached, with the Blues reportedly reaching an agreement with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata returned to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer following an impressive spell with Juventus but Zinedine Zidane has failed to offer the Spanish striker regular football, which las left the 24-year-old seeking a summer exit.
Conte is a big fan of the striker and is keen to bolster his attacking ranks with the signing of the forward and our landlord believes he’d be the perfect replacement for Diego Costa.
Chelsea fans, would Morata be the upgrade your attack needs? Let us know in the comments below!
