Chelsea ready to snub rival interest despite enquiry in flop

With many of our resident Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern still celebrating their title win, it’s hard to imagine life getting much better for them right now.

Well, that was until some of the Blues in the bar spotted reports from the Daily Mail.

They’ve revealed the west London giants could be in line to shift flop Baba Rahman this summer, with Premier League rivals Everton understood to have enquired about the possibility of signing him.

Signed by Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2015, the Ghanian has struggled to wholly convince and has struggled for both form and fitness in equal measure.

However, the report also suggests that those behind the scenes at Chelsea still retain hope the 22-year-old can develop into a Premier League player, reportedly making the notion of him returning to Germany on loan more realistic than joining the Toffees.

He’s been on loan with Schalke this season and could move back to the Bundesliga on loan again, with our resident Chelsea fans hoping he can further his development.
