Chelsea rock arch rivals Spurs, medical booked for prolific £33m star

The Tottenham Hotspur fans in for an early morning fry up have been complaining to our Landlord about their pesky rivals.

As ever, he has little time for their whining, having seen it all before.

A rivalry with flames that need little fanning, the Blues appear to have pipped their capital counterparts to the signing of Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi.

According to the Guardian, the Belgian striker is due to undergo a medical in West London ahead of a £33m move to the club, with him set to become the first signing of the Antonio Conte era.

Moves to West Ham United and Crystal Palace have both been mooted for the former Standard Liege man, while Serie A giants are believed to have shown an interest.

While Palace recently agreed a fee with Les Phocéens, the Stamford Bridge giants are thought to have swooped in with ruthless efficiency, with the 22-year old likely to be given special permission to leave Belgium’s EURO 2016 squad to complete his move.

Should Chelsea have targeted Morata instead?
