Chelsea should sell flops in order to capture star £13.5m-rated Championship lynchpin ASAP

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are unusually disappointed after an awful couple of transfer windows lead to the Blues getting a lot worse, something which needs amending this summer.

The Blues are outside of the top four right now and with that not looking likely to change with the season almost over, Chelsea will have to try their luck in the Europa League, a long, gruelling competition that could impact their league form.

Chelsea need quantity and quality this transfer window because a number of flops such as Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley and Tiemoue Bakayoko should all be sold to raise cash for replacements.

A player who has been one of the most influential players in the Championship this season was Ruben Neves, who is valued at £13.50 million on Transfermarkt, although his top form would argue he is worth a lot more than that. The 21-year-old was a shocking signing by Wolves with many clubs like Chelsea asking how on earth they managed to persuade him there. After his performances though, Chelsea must realise he is the real deal and target the midfielder before it’s too late.

From his 6 goals this season, it’s obvious to see that Ruben Neves only scores good goals and given the chance, he will make teams pay with his brilliant shooting ability. He is most definitely an upgrade on Drinkwater and Barkley so Ruben Neves is a very necessary signing for the Blues.

Neves is also the youngest ever captain in the Champions League, (when playing for Porto) and should be taken seriously as a player with serious potential to be a Chelsea favourite.
