Diego Costa’s name is one that is often bandied about the Transfer Tavern, with even our Chelsea supporting punters split over the fiery Spaniard.
The 27-year old is lethal on his day, though his second season in West London was marred by dips in form and disciplinary problems.
Despite his standing as one of the most important players at Stamford Bridge, he has been strongly linked with an emotional return to former club Atletico Madrid for a number of months now.
A fee that would have broken the Spanish club’s transfer record, it has not been enough to tempt new boss Antonio Conte to part ways with the striker.
Considering the relative financial restrictions in play at the Vicente Calderon, it is unlikely the Champions League finalists will be able to go much higher than that fee, suggesting Costa is Conte’s to keep.
