Chelsea target claims he’s happy in Spain

In news that will bring a collective sigh around the Football Transfer Tavern, it has been claimed by Sky Sports that Radamel Falcao is set to remain at Atletico Madrid this January transfer window.

The Colombian forward has attracted interest from just about every club who could afford him after scincilating displays over the last couple of seasons, becoming just about the most complete forward in Europe. Falcao can use both feet, is good in the air and was rumoured to be subject of a bidding war between Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

In news that has our Chelsea fans reaching for their shots, it seems that the 26-year-old is going nowhere until the summer at the earliest, and even then it may not be to Stamford Bridge. The player admits he “loves living in Spain” and is not keen on a move away anytime soon.

The £50 million-rated player also claims: “I thank God our results have been so positive and that we have done so well this season so far. My expectation is that I will be staying at the club until the end of the season.”
