Chelsea willing to stand strong over in-demand forward

The Chelsea supporters in the Transfer Tavern really cannot stop smiling at the table-topping form that has endeared manager Antonio Conte to everyone in SW6 of late.

It seems nothing can stop the Blues right now, with pretty much everyone involved with the club last season too looking completely revitalised thanks to the Italian’s charismatic and energetic approach.

However, thanks to reports from the Daily Telegraph, the former Juventus coach could be faced with a difficult decision in the coming weeks.

They claim summer signing Michy Batshuayi is desperate for minutes and London rivals West Ham have reportedly made enquiry in regards to taking the £33m man on loan.

Diego Costa’s imperious form in front of goal has largely kept the former Marseille man out of the side and he’s yet to start a game in the league, though the Spaniard’s suspension could afford him one against Bournemouth.

Conte, for his part, is said to prefer the Belgian remains at the Bridge and that stance will apparently remain the same unless the 23-year-old genuinely asks for a move.

Batshuayi is believed to have impressed those at the club’s Cobham training base with his attitude and, outside of Costa, he’s the only recognised centre-forward.

Should Batshuayi be given more of a chance to impress? Let us know below…
