It looks ever more likely that Belgian Eden Hazard is going to exit Stamford Bridge. The enigmatic attacking midfielder will not be easy to replace.

Eden Hazard is a real creative force in the Chelsea team. With Cristiano Ronaldo leaving for Juventus, who had been a driving force for Los Blancos for many years, Hazard is seen by many as a natural replacement for the Portuguese star. Hazard has been linked with a mega-money £112m move to the Bernebeu.

Chelsea need to strengthen regardless of the future of their star player. They are seeking to break back into the top four of English football. Just an FA Cup last season will be seen as an under-achievement by Blues fans.

Hazard is one of the best dribblers of the ball in the world. A quality dribbler needs to come into the club to replace the Belgian, who can both score and assist. The 27-year-old scored 12 Premier League goals for Chelsea last season. If they do receive over £100m for Hazard, as is expected, it will give them a great budget to bring in a replacement of the highest quality.

With that in mind, here are two signings Chelsea could make which would make them soon forget about Eden Hazard....

Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha is attracting a lot of interest from Premier League sides, notably Chelsea's London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Wilfried Zaha has rejected a new £125,000 contract with the Eagles, leading to heavy speculation he is moving to North London. Everton are also rumoured to be interested.

The Ivorian is by some distance the best player at Crystal Palace and one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Strong, aggressive, pacy and with plenty of trickery, he is something of a natural replacement for Eden Hazard. Zaha shone in a poor Crystal Palace side, so surrounded by better players he could be a real force to be reckoned with.

If the Blues can hijack a deal for Zaha, their fans would soon forget about Eden Hazard.

Something of a left-field choice, but 18-year-old Phil Foden would be an interesting signing as a replacement for Eden Hazard.

The players are of a similar height, both around 5ft 8, and both have extremely tight technical control. The Stockport-born youngster has been a revelation for England at youth level.

In a team such as Guardiola's Manchester City, whether Foden can break through is unknown. His game time was limited last season.

In terms of a direct replacement, Chelsea would not be getting a player as good as Eden Hazard. However, they would be buying one of the hottest talents in England, with the potential to be as good, or better, than Eden Hazard off of a Premier League rival. If Chelsea spent big to bring the highly rated youngster to Stamford Bridge, they would be pleased to see their club looking to give young English players a chance.
