Chelsea’s demands revealed in report as saga drags on for Conte

It’s been a difficult period for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern of late.

Indeed, the Blues in the bar watched their side beaten 3-2 at home by Burnley over the course of the weekend, a result only exacerbated by the ongoing situation surrounding star forward, Diego Costa.

The Spaniard is an outcast at Stamford Bridge after reportedly being told by Antonio Conte over text he no longer had a future at the club. Out in Brazil, it seems the former Atletico Madrid man is on strike as he looks to force through a return to the Spanish capital.

Now, reports from the Sun have shed some more light on the matter. They claim Chelsea have issued him with FOUR demands before they consider selling him on this summer.

They reportedly expect him to return to Cobham, train with the club, prove his match fitness AND put himself into contention for Conte’s first-team. Should he do that, they will apparently consider allowing him to leave SW6.

If not, the club can keep fining him two weeks wages and our resident Blues just want the situation is cleared up quickly.

Landlord’s Verdict:

The longer this goes on, the harder it’s going to be to sell him. Every minute he continues his strike at the club, his valuation is dropping, leaving Conte with an almost impossible task right now.

A popular figure at Chelsea, though he should respect the club and look for a move in a more discreet manner.
