With the punters in the Transfer Tavern so often lamenting the lack of true characters in modern football, even Chelsea forward Diego Costa is starting to find his way into their hearts.
The Premier League’s current pantomime villain, the Spaniard has once again found his goalscoring boots for the Blues after a dreadful season last time out.
Under the tutelage of new manager Antonio Conte, the 28-year-old has notched seven goals already, leading him to the top of the scoring charts once again.
However, this weekend’s win over champions Leicester City saw the former Atletico Madrid man’s other side flare up once more.
According to the Daily Mirror, the La Roja international grew frustrated by Conte’s constant screams and dared the former Juventus coach to haul him off despite his opening goal.
Will Costa finish the Premier League’s top scorer? Let us know below…
