Conte receives monumental World Cup winner Chelsea boost

Antonio Conte has already endeared himself to the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, following his touchline antics during the Blues’ season opening win against West Ham.

Clearly unafraid to ruffle feathers in West London, the Italian sensationally dropped Cesc Fabregas from his first starting lineup.

That move instantly sparked suggestions that the World Cup winner could be in line for a blockbuster move to Real Madrid, despite his deep Barcelona roots.

However, according to the Sun, the 29-year old is set to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place under the Italian’s regime.

With N’Golo Kante having arrived over the course of the summer, competition for places at the club has undoubtedly increased.

Still, the report claims that the former Arsenal captain is well aware that the fight for a starting berth will be a hard one, though is keen to stay in West London.

Can Conte get the best out of Fabregas? Does he have any hope of ousting Kante? Let us know below…
