Conte’s first major decision could break records as Chelsea consider stunning £50m sale

Courtois

As if being linked with Joe Hart wasn’t enough for the Liverpool fans to divulge in the Transfer Tavern (along with a few after work pints), they’ve been sent into dreamland following comments from Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.

He told Tribal Football that incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has sanctioned the stale of stopper Thibaut Courtois as he plots a major overhaul in West London.

Adding to that, he hinted that the £50m rated Belgian could even end up at Anfield this summer in what would be one of the biggest moves in the history of English football.

‘Where will the young Belgian No1 go? Liverpool could be the right answer…”, he cryptically revealed.

Having sold Petrc Cech to London rivals Arsenal last year, this potential deal could be the second summer in a row the Blues allow a ‘keeper of top stature join a domestic rival.

The Reds have struggled between the posts this season, with fellow Belgian international Simon Mignolet failing to wholly convince at Anfield.

Would Courtois help turn Liverpool into potential title winners?
