Deal Agreed: Chelsea snap up Barcelona shot-stopper

Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening have become intrigued by news from the continent that they have agreed a deal to bring a Barcelona youngster to South West London.

The Blues have agreed a deal to bring 17-year-old shot stopper, Marcin Bulka in from Barcelona’s official academy in Poland, FCB Escola Varsovia.

The academy has confirmed that the deal is done via Twitter, following trials that the club’s Cobham training ground in April.

Blues goalkeeping coach, Henrique Hilario, has reportedly pushed the club to finalise the deal in order to take the youngster on their pre-season tour of the US.

The scouts from Stamford Bridge have good form when it comes to identifying ‘keepers, having brought current first choice Thibaut Courtios to the Premier League from Genk and Petr Cech from Rennes in 2004.
