Deal snubbed sees forward close in on bargain Chelsea transfer

Now their beloved Blues are just three points from being crowned Premier League champions again, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted.

Little can dampen the moods of our west London locals it seems, even reports emanating from the Daily Record suggesting a player could leave Stamford Bridge.

They claim forward Dominic Solanke is edging closer to a move away from SW6 this summer, after failing to break into the first-team.

The 19-year-old is said to have snubbed a new deal in west London and, while Liverpool are thought to have shown an interest, could move to Celtic.

A move north of the border would mean the Bhoys could land the England U20 star on a bargain deal, as they did with Fulham forward Moussa Dembele last summer.

While an English-based outfit would reportedly have to shell out around £8m for Solanke, the Hoops are thought to be to land him for around £400k.

Though he’s undoubtedly a talent, it’s fair to say the Chelsea fans won’t miss him too much, while our Celtic-supporting locals hope he could potentially replicate Dembele’s success.
