The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that their club will be taking part in the International Champions Cup this summer. The Blues will be playing alongside Tottenham, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich who have already confirmed their places in the summer competition. The club announced the news via Twitter with a link to the Chelsea website for more information.
We’re excited to announce we will be taking part in the International Champions Cup this summer!

Being a Chelsea fan at the moment is surprisingly difficult at the moment. Despite the millions of pounds pumped into the club year after year and the title of being the reigning Premier League champions, the fans aren’t happy. The Stamford Bridge faithful currently find themselves in 5th place and look extremely likely to miss out on a Champions League spot for next season.
Chelsea made their Champions League bow against Barcelona in the first knockout round of the competition and now they’re seemingly out of the race for top four, their only saving grace is the FA Cup. Antonio Conte’s side faces Southampton on the 22nd April in the world’s most famous cup competition with a win sending them through to their second consecutive final. The fans will be hoping they can win some sort of silverware as they look to make the season a success.

Sounds Tough! Hope it's in a warm country with lots of free time on various sun-drenched beaches.
