Chelsea fans have already started pouring in to the Football Transfer Tavern ahead of their opening Premier League fixture against West Ham tonight, but one key piece of transfer news has been lost amongst match previews for the fixture.
FA Youth Cup winner Jamal Blackman has been in and amongst the Chelsea first team for the last few years, but Antonio Conte has now seen fit to give the talented youngster a chance to impress as a first team regular away from the club.
On Monday the club confirmed he had signed for League Two battlers Wycombe Wanderers on a deal that will extend through the new year.
The 22-year-old has previously had loan spells with Middlesbrough and Ostersunds in the last few years, before making the deal with Wanderers his third loan spell in as many years.
Renowned for his towering frame and shot stopping ability; Jamal Blackman is highly thought of amongst the Chelsea brass, with many hoping for an eventual role in the first team for the young Englishman.
What do you think Chelsea fans? A good move or should he have stuck around the first team? Does he just need to get game time? Let us know below…
