Eden Hazard still needs Chelsea to land these 2 stars in order to flourish

Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can make major improvements over the course of the summer after failing to secure a Champions League spot. So, they’ll need to bring the very best out of Eden Hazard to challenge near the top in the next campaign.

The Blues were less than convincing in the last campaign as they didn’t manage to secure a place in the Champions League for next season and failed to please supporters. Indeed, this has forced Chelsea into making changes as Antonio Conte is heading to Napoli and Maurizio Sarri is coming the other way.

But, the most important thing for the London club is that they manage to get the very best out of their star man Eden Hazard in the next campaign. The Belgian always puts in performances of the highest order for the Blues but he could go up a gear if Chelsea manage to welcome a couple of stars to Stamford Bridge.

With that in mind, Hazard still needs Chelsea to land these TWO stars to flourish…

Gonzalo Higuain

The Argentine has established himself as one of the deadliest strikers in world football in years gone by, with a move to Stamford Bridge possibly not too far away.

Chelsea are in desperate need of a striker with Alvaro Morata seemingly heading towards the exits as the Blues are still hoping to find a suitable replacement for Diego Costa.

Indeed, bringing Gonzalo Higuain to the club would not only guarantee goals, but it would also bring Hazard on leaps and bounds, as the Chelsea star would feed off Higuain’s knock downs and hold-up play.

Dries Mertens

Dries Mertens established himself as one of the most prolific attackers in the whole of world football in the last campaign as he managed to find the back of the net 22 times and produced 12 assists.

Eden Hazard is good friends with the Belgian midfielder as they play together on international duty and have both helped establish Belgium as one of the world’s leading nations. So, Hazard could take the next step to rivalling Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as one of the world’s best in the next campaign, as both Mertens and Hazard already know each other’s game and excel in the same side.
