The signing of Alvaro Morata has certainly excited the Chelsea fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, who believe Antonio Conte is finally getting somewhere in terms of strengthening his squad.
Though it’s been a slow summer for the Blues in the bar thus far, it seems as if the Premier League champions are finally making some headway when it comes to bringing players to Stamford Bridge. Indeed, reports from the Sun hint at another potentially big name arrival.
According to their report, Conte is keen on a move for Inter Milan star Andrea Candreva. Having worked with the 30-year-old with the Italian national side, an enquiry is believed to have been made in regards to his services.
Though the Nerazzurri are understood to be keen on keeping the former Lazio man at the San Siro, the player himself is said to be willing to move over to England. Able to operate as a right-wing back, Conte is thought to want to bring him in to act as cover and competition for Victor Moses.
With Chelsea still needing to bring in players to bulk out their squad ahead of a busier campaign next time out, the punters propping up our bar are on board with this deal.
