Everton to rival Chelsea for midfield lynchpin, second transfer tussle to commence

It’s seemingly been years since the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been able to rival their Chelsea counterparts, so the Merseyside punters are making the most out of it.

Already thought to be scrapping over the potential signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, reports from the Daily Mirror claim the Toffees are sweet on yet another Blues target.

Flush with cash, it is thought Ronald Koeman is ready to rival Antonio Conte for the £30m signing of EURO 2016 winner William Carvalho.

The 24-year old powerhouse has long been linked with a move to the Premier League from Sporting Lisbon and it is understood top brass at Goodison Park are leading the chase.

While Conte has already landed N’Golo Kante, the former Italian national coach is believed to be actively looking for another midfielder as he plots his major overhaul in West London.

Previously, Man United and Arsenal have been mooted as potential landing spots for the Portugal international.

Why has no one moved for Carvalho yet? Is that a concern? Let us know below…
