Chelsea have the squad quality to achieve a top four finish and more this season, something Maurizio Sarri would surely be happy with in his first season in SW6.
As of late, form has been up and down but the Blues are a side that on their day, can be very problematic for any team in world football.
They will only get stronger as time progresses as well, with the money available to them.
If they were to eye their next big transfer decision, it should be on Cesc Fabregas’ replacement.
The Spaniard is set to leave the club this month but instead of dwelling on what a miss he could be, Chelsea should go all guns blazing, trying to sign PSG’s Giovani Lo Celso.
Lo Celso, (who is valued at £27 million on Transfermarkt) is currently out on-loan to Real Betis in Spain, where his true ability has shone through.
The midfielder has found the back of the net eight times in 22 appearances, as well as setting-up a further two goals.
The 22-year-old is definitely a talent and one that could get better and better with a move to Chelsea.
Chelsea’s starting midfielders are quality, no doubt, however Lo Celso could bring something completely different to Stamford Bridge, from an array of different roles as well.
Available to operate in a more defensive or attacking role, Lo Celso could not only be the perfect replacement for Cesc Fabregas but the ultimate upgrade as well.
Considering PSG were willing to loan him out, the Blues have a real good chance at acquiring him – something they should try and do without hesitation.
