Alvaro Morata could be on his way out of Chelsea if the latest set of reports are to be believed.

The Spaniard has struggled immensely since joining the Blues from Real Madrid in a £54m deal last summer. Despite netting 11 Premier League goals in his debut season, Morata has looked void of confidence in the Chelsea starting eleven and has failed to form a partnership with Eden Hazard in the attack. Reports in Italy suggest the striker would jump at the chance to return to the Serie A with AC Milan reportedly interested in the Spain international.

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly given up with the misfiring forward and will look to a sign a new striker in the upcoming January transfer window. Morata’s departure would leave the ageing Olivier Giroud as the only recognised forward at Stamford Bridge meaning Chelsea should break the bank to land a top front man.

One man who could prove to be a wonderful addition to the squad is Frankfurt forward – Sebastian Haller. Valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt, the Frenchman joined his current side last summer after racking up an impressive goalscoring record with FC Utrecht in his homeland. Haller ended his first season in the Bundesliga with a respectable nine goals but has taken his game to a whole new level during the current campaign.

The 24-year-old has been one of the top strikers in Europe this season, netting an incredible 12 goals in all competitions already this season. In a squad of Chelsea’s quality surrounded by players such as Hazard and Willian – his goal output would only increase. Haller’s arrival could also help bring the best out of the Belgian wizard as he excels at hold up play, registering an impressive 11 assists for his team-mates in all competitions this season. The Frenchman is readymade for the Chelsea attack and would give Sarri the top forward he’s been crying out for.

A move to Stamford Bridge in January could be just what Haller needs to secure a place in the France national team.
