Huge Conte boost as Chelsea star reveals desire to stay at Stamford

Ironically enough to the Chelsea fans frequenting the Transfer Tavern this evening, reports from ESPN suggesting Eden Hazard has told the club he wants to STAY have been met with merely a shrug.

The Belgian was influential amid their title run under Jose Mourinho last year, earning himself individual accolades to go along with his medal.

The PFA Player of the Year was lauded for his heroics and considered by many to be the best player in the Premier League at the time.

However, the 25-year old has been one of the club’s biggest flops this year in a season that cost Mourinho his job and has seen the Blues marooned in mid-table.

Having not scored a league goal in a year, only notching two against MK Dons in the FA Cup, the former Lille man has come under fire.

He has been linked with major moves to both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain despite his alarming dip in form, though it is now claimed he has told Chelsea he wishes to stay.

After meeting with incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte, the playmaker is thought to have been encouraged with its outcome and reaffirmed his desire to remain in West London.

Is Conte the right man to get the best out of Hazard once again? Or should Chelsea cash in on him ASAP?
