Juventus forced to wait to seal deal for Chelsea star, incoming boss keen to offer a second chance

CuadradoThe Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been utterly dismayed by their woeful campaign during 2015/16 and are already looking forward to incoming boss Antonio Conte, stamping his authority on an underachieving side.

The club have been disappointing in the Premier League and look set to miss out on European football all together next season, which is an alarming fall from grace after winning the title at a canter last season.

Our landlord has spotted an article in The Express today that claims Chelsea are considering handing misfit Juan Cuadrado another chance to shine in the first-team next season.

The Colombian winger was offloaded to Juventus on loan during last summer but after impressing in Serie A, the Italian boss would like to run the rule over the player before deciding whether or not to move him on permanently.

One Chelsea fan is sat in the smoking area at the back of the Tavern and he thinks that Cuadrado was poor when given a chance in the first-team last time around, although he will give the player another chance to impress should Conte see fit.

Chelsea fans, how will Antonio Conte get on next season? Can he get the club back towards the top end of the league? What will he bring to the club that Jose Mourinho couldn’t?
