Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that the board can keep one of their top future stars in the summer, amidst a plethora of great performances for his loan club Newcastle United since the turn of the year.

Reports are breaking in the bar over a possible move away for Brazilian wonderkid midfielder Kenedy this summer, with the likes of Bayern Munich and PSG said to be keeping tabs on the Chelsea player should he opt to move.

Having largely been out of the first team during the first half of season due to a pre-season incident, Kenedy was shipped out on loan and is slowly turning into one of former Chelsea boss, Rafa Benitez’s, best performers.

Indeed, Kenedy (valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt) has been the catalyst for the Toon Army’s rise up the table and, his displays have helped them move 10 points clear of the relegation zone. No doubt Kenedy is playing some of his best football under the Spanish boss and is showing glimmers of what Chelsea could have on their hands in the future.
