It’s been a difficult summer for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, though their Wembley win over Tottenham Hotspur certainly lightened the mood.
Though Antonio Conte’s squad remains rather small, the Blues in the bar retain a huge amount of support for the Italian and reckon his coaching skills could make up for their small numbers.
So, reports from the Daily Mail have gone down well amongst our west London locals.
They’ve revealed that both summer signing Tiémoué Bakayoko and Stamford Bridge star Eden Hazard are ‘likely’ to be fit for Chelsea’s first Champions League game since early 2016 on September 12th.
Bakayoko made his debut against Spurs, though has struggled for full fitness since moving from Monaco, while Hazard is yet to play this season after breaking his ankle earlier on this summer.
It’s a huge boost for Chelsea, whose squad will look a lot better with two of their key stars regularly available for action. They host Qarabag of Azerbaijan in their first game back and having both players available is a huge boost for our resident Blues.
Though much has been made about Chelsea’s lack of options, Hazard back gives them one of the best players in the Premier League. Furthermore, a fully fit Bakayoko is able to compliment N’Golo Kante, with Cesc Fabregas a luxury sub.
