Manager aware of what forward will do to push Chelsea transfer through

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were treated to quite the bombshell today, with star forward Diego Costa revealing Antonio Conte does not want him.

With the Blues in the bar now all but certain their star forward will leave the club after three topsy-turvy years in west London, many of them are interested in where he’ll end up.

A money-spinning move to the Chinese Super League has been touted for months now, while AC Milan are also said to be keen on the 28-year-old. Still, interesting reports emanating out of Spain have given another indication as to his future.

According to Marcathe Spanish international is eager to rejoin Atletico Madrid, despite their transfer ban. Los Rojiblancos are unable to register players until January after their ban was held up by the CAS, though Costa is said to be ready to wait.

Diego Simeone is thought to be aware of Costa’s willingness to wait until the New Year, in a move that could see the forward not play for over four months.

A legend at the La Liga club, not many of the Chelsea fans in the bar would begrudge him a move to the club where he made his name.
