Chelsea have put the woeful cup final behind them to invest all their confidence in trying to finish within the top four.

After all the drama that unfolded with manager Maurizio Sarri and Kepa, Chelsea have now focused on getting their heads down and doing all they can to lodge themselves back in contention for the top four.

Their team is more than equipped to reach that target and it would be a great turnaround if they manage to do so.

However, a potential stumbling block for any progress they have been making over the last few games is a pending transfer ban.

Although Chelsea have a number of talented players, there is also room for improvement in their squad, something only done by acquiring new players... or is it?

Loan star Mason Mount could make a real difference at Stamford Bridge if given the opportunity, some may say.

Mount, (who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt) has shown tremendous ability whilst on-loan with Frank Lampard's Derby this season, enough to suggest that Chelsea should give him time in the first-team.

Having only ever played for the U18's and U23's, Mason Mount will be keen to make an impression in order to win a place within the first-team at Stamford Bridge.

And with six goals and three assists this season, he may just have done exactly that.

The 20-year-old is blessed with an array of wonderful creativity and looks to be a player that could fit in with Chelsea's current system, playing in an attacking role with the likes of N'golo Kante and Jorginho behind him.

Certainly if Chelsea's transfer ban does come to fruition, Mason Mount's talent would almost be like a new signing for the Blues and it should be under serious consideration as to whether they use him in the first-team or not.
