More bad news for Chelsea fans on injury front (not Hazard)

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t really been used to bad news over the last few months, following a wonderful Premier League campaign under the exciting stewardship of Antonio Conte.

Still, the recent news that star man Eden Hazard may face a race against time to be fit for next season hasn’t gone down well amongst our punters. Indeed, the 25-year-old broke his ankle while on international duty with Belgium, only intensifying the age-old club vs country debate in the Tavern.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, reports from the Daily Mirror revealing ANOTHER Chelsea injury have been met with an icy stare. They claim attacking midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been ruled out of Euro 2017 for the England U21s with a back injury.

While the 21-year-old played a rather large role in getting the Young Lions to Poland in the first place, though is said to have had to pull out, despite meeting up with Aidy Boothroyd’s squad. For Chelsea, the injury could put back his preparations for pre-season, giving the Englishman some catching up to do ahead of next season.

Though ‘RLC’ has he’s referred to amongst our punters has struggled for much of an impact upon Conte’s first-team, the idea of missing him as well as Hazard next season is a very scary one indeed.
