Mourinho to commence colossal battle with Conte as Man United launch huge deal for formidable Italian

Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Manchester United has sent shockwaves throughout the Premier League, with the fans in the Transfer Tavern dreaming about the future under his stewardship.

For one of the proudest institutions of English football, the Red Devils have been on their knees ever since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson three years ago.

Not only in terms of league position, the Old Trafford giants are constantly missing out on top targets and are seemingly chasing their tales in the transfer market.

However, with the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ at the helm, he looks to be returning the club to major players in the European game, ahead of what promises to be a ludicrously lavish summer of spending.

According to Italian daily La Stampa (via the Sun), the 53-year old is ready to battle former club Chelsea for stoic Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

The 29-year old established himself as one of the most formidable defenders in Europe under the tutelage of incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte before his departure from Turin in 2014.

It is claimed Mourinho will battle the Italian in a bid to land the central defender this summer, with doubts about the long-term future of Daley Blind.

Should Mourinho be so quick to rid of Daley Blind?
